The brief
A period Redbridge house with a long garden and not enough house — the brief was space on both floors without losing the frontage.
What we built
Steel and blockwork shell across the rear over two storeys, then the fit-out: a sage shaker kitchen under black-framed glazing at garden level and a new bedroom above. The white period front stayed as the street knows it.
The result
From the street, nothing's changed. From the garden, it's a different house.
The job
What the job included
- Double-storey rear extension
- Structural steel and blockwork
- Sage shaker kitchen with black-framed glazing
